Date: August 6, 2025 | Author: Metal Mayhem Media
Seattle’s progressive thrash titans NEVERMORE built a legacy on technical prowess, dark melodies, and philosophical lyricism. Over the years, fans have fiercely debated which of their full-length albums stands above the rest. We ran a community poll—and the results are in.
It was a close race for the top spot, but also quite clear which albums fans connected with the least.
Ranked: NEVERMORE Albums
- Dead Heart in a Dead World
- This Godless Endeavor
- Dreaming Neon Black
- Enemies of Reality
- The Politics of Ecstasy
- The Obsidian Conspiracy
- Nevermore (self-titled debut)
Interesting to see how much love the turn-of-the-millennium albums received compared to the bookends of their discography.
Top Album: Dead Heart in a Dead World
With its seven-string riffage courtesy of Jeff Loomis and the haunting vocals of Warrel Dane, Dead Heart in a Dead World stands as the definitive NEVERMORE album. Tracks like “Narcosynthesis” and “Inside Four Walls” remain fan favorites to this day.
Least Favorite? Not So Fast...
While the self-titled debut and The Obsidian Conspiracy rank lowest, they still carry the DNA of NEVERMORE’s complex identity. Sometimes overlooked, these albums offer insight into the band’s roots and final evolution.
